Hey Y'all! How's all my family and friends? Life in Costa Rica is still great! Big things are happening! We are getting down to our last weeks of the lecture phase! We have three and a half weeks of class left. Two and a half are here at the base in San Jose, and the last one is at the YWAM base in Heredia, and its about an hour and a half away from the base I live at in San Jose. Then after being in Heredia for a week we come back to the base in San Jose for one night, then the next day we leave for NIKO camp. Which is a week of... I don't really know. It's like a big secret in YWAM. So they don't tell us much. But from what I've been told, its like a week of intense living with nothing, in like a jungle/forest something. I don't know. Haha Something like that. Then after NIKO, we go on outreach! WOOT!
So for outreach there are three different teams, one team is going to Asia, another team is traveling around Costa Rica, they will be in different locations every week, and then my team is going to Puerto Viejo, Limon, Costa Rica! So in Puerto Viejo we are pioneering a YWAM base! I'm not exactly sure what thats going to be like.. but I'm going to find out. So the base is right on the ocean! Haha. The property backs right on to our own beach, SWEET! But we are going to be doing other things in the community as we pioneer the base. We will be helping with bible distribution, we have several thousands of bibles to hand out to the people of Puerto Viejo! SO we will be doing that as well as other things with the local churches. It's going to be awesome!
So as of right now my life is crazy! So much is happening in me, through me and around me! God is really working in my life. He's really teaching me all about how important my relationship with Him is. He's showing me how to put him above everything, and let me just say it's not easy, its been really hard, but it's so worth it. To see where I was when I got here and to see where I am now... I never want to go back! God is so good!
I have no idea what else to say. It's so hard to put things into words. I'm just learning how God wants to use me and I'm learning how to let Him use me. It's the hardest process, but its been so worth it so far and I'm so excited to see what else God is going to do and show me. It's never a dull moment here. God is always doing something and it's so AWESOME! Haha
I hope y'all are well! Cause I sure am! Haha
Much love

Busy, busy! Time to Slow Down!
Wow, time has gone by so fast. I've been here for almost a month and a half. In some ways it doesn't feel like its been that long, but I can see in other ways how it has been that long. I have grown so close to some people here and I can't imagine life without them. I've learned so much and I feel as though I have grown a lot. Its been an amazing time and I'm so glad I have so much more left.
So, just somethings that have been happening here. I have watched my first movie in Spanish, it was 'Finding Nemo'. I've gone bowling! One of our speakers paid for all of us to go, it was so fun. I now run and workout my abs three times a week! Haha. I get up at 5:30am, its so hard to get up, but I always feel so great after. So awake. Man, what else has happened? It's been awhile since my last update that I don't want to miss out on anything... Oh, we had a Song Cafe! You might have seen the pictures on Facebook. The Song Cafe is something the School of Worship puts on. They are acquired to write songs and the Song Cafe is their time to share what they've created. It was such a wonderful evening. We get to have it every other tuesday night! Yahoo!
Something really cool that happened! One girl in our DTS had fallen and injured her ankle and knee of the same leg and then her opposite elbow. She had to walk with one crutch and hop. She couldn't go up the stairs without one of the boys carrying her. She couldn't extend her arm or leg because of the pain. You might be thinking that this isn't something thats exciting or cool. But it is. Since being here we have been learning all about God's mighty power of healing. We've been learning that God want to use us to heal people. So we believed this truth about God and we prayed over her. We prayed for healing. I'm sad to say I didn't have a lot of faith in this, I just prayed God would heal her before outreach and that she would feel better. But thank goodness someone else had big faith that God could heal, because let me tell you. She was healed. HEALED! All pain in her elbow and leg, GONE. She walked, jumped, extended her arm! WOWOWOWOW. I just sat there thinking, holy cow, my God is so amazing. I cried I was so happy. Haha It was the best things I've ever seen. I've seen a miracle and I will never pray for healing again with such little faith! My God is so powerful and He wants to use us. So cool! What do you think of that?! Wow!
So, how am I doing? I'm so great! I have fallen in love with Costa Rica, the people, the language, and the food! I don't think I've been happier. I love waking up in the morning, going for a run and looking at the mountains that surround us in San Jose. I love the crunchy peanut butter I eat on my toast every morning. I love going to class and learning about God, I just love getting new revelations and deepening my relationship with God. I love sitting out in the sun with friends, making music or just talking about what we've learned in class. I love taking the bus downtown or anywhere. I love the new family I have here, the peopler God have put into my life. I love the times of worship we have together as a base or when I'm by myself. I love meal times, having rice at every meal is a dream come true (Olivia you would love it!). There is so much more that I love about this place, but the thing I love most is the way its bringing me closer to God. I'm learning so much, so much I never knew about God, there's been so much I've been missing out on. If only I had picked up my bible earlier and really read it and let it transform me. Wow. God is amazing. So full of love. So wonderful. I wish everyone was feeling what I'm feeling right now.
God is changing me. Making me new. This week out topic is Intimacy with God. We're learning all about God's love, what love really is. What eternal life really is. Who God really is and what he really wants most. Wow, its so much. And me and God are working together. God is love, true love was Christ dying on the cross for me. Eternal life starts know, its all about knowing God. All God wants is for me to have a personal relationship. All I want is Christ to be my first love. I've completely given him everything. Some of you reading this might think I'm crazy. BUT I've never felt more alive, more satisfied. The longing inside of me is beginning to be filled and when I get more of God the longing is being filled even more. I just want to be in God's presence everyday, every minute. I just can't get enough. He truly is wonderful and I could write about Him all day! E-mail me if you want more. Haha I'd love to tell you!
Yesterday was Valentines Day! It was so nice. I've never felt more loved on this day before. The boys in our DTS made us each a rose out of chocolate! And they made a little puzzle for us to put together and then follow. When we followed it, it took us all around the base and then ended in the kitchen. It took us to ice cream and cookies! It was so nice! They are so thoughtful and we love each one of our boys! We have the best DTS! Haha. We also had a little valentines party. We played a couple games, had some laughs, and wrote encouraging notes to everyone. It was so fun. It was so best Valentines Day so far!
Tonight we are watching 'The Passion Of The Christ'. I'm excited, but also a bit nervous. I'll let you know how it goes. I think it's going to be an emotional night. It's already been an emotional day and I think thats God preparing me for this. Its gonna be good. Be praying for me. I want this to impact me, I want to understand what Christ did for me on that cross.
Yeah, well thats my update for now! Haha.
Hope your all doing well!
Much love,
Hannah
